Statement on Michelle Lee’s Nomination

Washington, D.C. – The Internet Association President and CEO Michael Beckerman issues the following statement on President Obama’s nomination of Michelle Lee as the Under Secretary for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office:

“The Internet industry applauds President Obama’s nomination of Michelle Lee as the Under Secretary for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Lee understands the importance of a properly functioning patent system for the U.S. economy, and is the right person to lead the USPTO.
