Statement On Department Of Commerce’s Expansion Of The Digital Attache Program

Washington, DC – Internet Association President & CEO Michael Beckerman released the following statement on the Department of Commerce’s expansion of the digital attache program:

“The internet industry welcomes the Department of Commerce’s expansion of the digital attache program into more critical markets. Digital trade represents more than half of all U.S. services exports and generates an annual trade surplus of more than $150 billion. The internet industry accounts for six percent of GDP and nearly 3 million American jobs. We applaud Secretary Pritzker for her leadership in supporting the digital economy.”
