Statement On President Obama Signing The Consumer Review Fairness Act Into Law

Washington, DC – Internet Association Senior Vice President, Public Policy & Government Affairs, Gina Woodworth released the following statement on President Obama’s signing of the Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) into law:

“The internet industry applauds President Obama for signing the CRFA into law. The bill will help protect consumers online and allow internet marketplaces to continue to thrive. The CRFA outlaws ‘gag clauses’ in form contracts that harm consumers and violate free speech online. We also thank the House and Senate for their work passing these important bills.”
