The IA and CCIA Submit Comments to U.S. Copyright Office on Federal Resale Royalty Right
Excerpt: The IA and CCIA appreciate the opportunity to provide comments on whether the Office should adopt a federal resale royalty right. The Associations agree that artists should participate in the market on an equal footing and enjoy fair compensation for the value of their works. At the same time, the Office’s conclusion that a federal resale royalty right “does not appear to be the best way to level the playing field” is as true today as it was in 1992.
