Statement On The Announcement Of The New U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA)

Washington, DC – Internet Association Director, Digital Trade Jordan Haas issued the following statement on the announcement of a new trilateral trade agreement to modernize NAFTA, the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA):

“The internet sector commends USTR and its counterparts in Canada and Mexico for coming to a new trilateral trade agreement to modernize NAFTA. IA and our member companies are reviewing the text and look forward to ensuring that the American digital economy – which represents millions of jobs and a $160 billion global trade surplus – will continue to grow and thrive.”
