Internet Association Appoints Jeanine Poltronieri As New General Counsel

Washington, DC – Internet Association announced today that Jeanine Poltronieri has joined the organization as General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Legal and Policy Affairs. She will lead all aspects of IA’s amicus brief program, domestic and international regulatory efforts, ethics, and compliance, in addition to overseeing IA’s policy team and related working groups. She joins IA from AT&T, where she served as Assistant Vice President, Federal Regulatory. Over the course of her career, Poltronieri has worked on issues ranging from privacy (including COPPA) to government modernization.

In making the announcement, K. Dane Snowden, IA’s President and CEO, said, “Jeanine brings to IA a potent mix of government, legal, and in-house corporate experience. Her legal acumen is second to none and she has repeatedly proven herself as both a team and consensus builder.” Snowden continued, “Jeanine is the final addition to IA’s senior leadership team which features battle-tested, winning experts in the fields of advocacy, communications, law, and policy.”

Prior to AT&T, Poltronieri was Executive Director, Government Relations at Motorola and held multiple positions at the Federal Communications Commission, including Chief Counsel, Wireless Telecommunications Bureau; Chief, Universal Service Branch, Common Carrier Bureau; and Attorney Advisor, Mass Media Bureau. She began her legal career at Patton Boggs in the Administrative Law and Litigation practice groups. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University and Cum Laude from Harvard Law School.
