Internet Association Hires New Director Of Federal Government Affairs

Washington, DC – Internet Association announced today that Bo Morris has joined IA as Director of Federal Government Affairs. In this role, Morris will expand IA’s capacity to lead the internet industry in the areas of congressional education and advocacy on key policies. Morris previously worked in the office of Congressman Joe Neguse (D-CO), where he served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director. 

“IA is delighted to welcome Bo to the team,” said IA President and CEO K. Dane Snowden. “As IA continues to deepen its government relations influence, Bo’s policy experience and Capitol Hill knowledge will be a valuable asset.”

In his prior role, Morris worked closely with Congressman Neguse, House Leadership, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and the bipartisan Congressional Caucus on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. His efforts contributed to the successful passage of 19 bills in the 116th Congress, including nine that were signed into law.  Morris worked in a similar role for former Congressman Jared Polis (D-CO), where he drafted legislation and managed the Congressman’s work on education, workforce, privacy, and civil rights issues. Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Bo worked as a Research Assistant at Center for American Progress and an education intern in the White House for the Domestic Policy Council. Morris is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
