Statement On The House Judiciary Committee Passage Of The Music Modernization Act

Washington, DC – IA President & CEO Michael Beckerman released the following statement on the House Judiciary Committee’s approval of the Music Modernization Act (MMA):

“The internet industry commends the House Judiciary Committee for overwhelmingly approving the MMA. This bill will bring music licensing out of the age of player pianos and into the digital era. IA and our member companies appreciate the leadership of Chairman Goodlatte and Ranking Member Nadler for their work on this bill and urge the full House to approve this important legislation.”
