Statement In Response To FTC Commissioner Khan’s Comments On Online Fraud

Washington, DC – IA released the following statement in response to FTC Commissioner Lina Khan’s testimony before the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce:

“Consumer trust is paramount to online marketplaces; which is why companies quickly remove bad actors and protect the integrity of our businesses. Companies invest in building strong relationships with law enforcement in addition to actively blocking suspicious listings, banning repeat offenders, removing fake reviews, and empowering consumers to flag and report information. Online companies are working every day to fight against fraud and continuously improve processes and technologies to stop this activity.”
