Statement In Support Of The Bipartisan Compromise To The Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act

Washington, DC — Internet Association President & CEO Michael Beckerman issued the following statement in support of the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA) compromise:

“Internet Association is committed to combating sexual exploitation and sex trafficking online and supports SESTA. Important changes made to SESTA will grant victims the ability to secure the justice they deserve, allow internet platforms to continue their work combating human trafficking, and protect good actors in the ecosystem.”

Blumenthal for their careful work and bipartisan collaboration on this crucially important topic and Chairman Thune  and Ranking Member Nelson for their leadership of the Commerce Committee.
