Statement On House Passage Of The Federal CIO Authorization Act

Washington, DC – Internet Association Director, Cloud Policy & Counsel Alla Seiffert issued the following statement on the passage of the Federal CIO Authorization Act (H.R. 247) in the House:  

“The passage of the Federal CIO Authorization Act in the House of Representatives builds on the bipartisan tradition of empowering the Federal CIO to innovate. The bill will facilitate greater adoption of commercial cloud solutions as it enables the Office of Management and Budget to continue to advocate for better technology solutions across federal agencies. The internet industry applauds House members for passing this legislation and looks forward to the Senate taking action to ensure this bill becomes law.”
