Statement On Ireland High Court’s Data Protection Commission Decision

Washington, DC – IA Director, Trade Policy Jordan Haas issued the following statement on the Irish High Court’s procedural decision negatively impacting businesses that rely on data flows between the EU and the US: 

“Both European and American businesses rely on the free flow of data across the Atlantic for their daily operations. Transatlantic data flows benefit businesses of all sizes and support millions of American jobs. IA encourages the U.S. and the EU to develop a viable resolution as quickly as possible to ensure consumers and businesses alike can continue to benefit from data transfers between the U.S. and EU.”
