Statement On Sami’s Law

Washington, DC – Internet Association Senior Director, Federal Government Affairs and Counsel Mike Lemon issued the following statement on Sami’s Law: 

“Trust is essential to a thriving sharing economy company, including IA’s ridesharing members. The internet industry has strong concerns with Sami’s Law, which in its current state presents many problematic compliance challenges for companies, without clear benefit to riders or drivers. IA and our members remain committed to working with policymakers to find meaningful solutions that build trust between consumers and platforms.”
