Statement On Texas HB 3579

Washington, DC –Internet Association Vice President, State Government Affairs Robert Callahan issued the following statement on HB 3579, which would impose a new tax on online travel companies:

“The internet industry urges the Texas Senate not to pass HB 3579, which would create a new, unfair tax on online travel companies. This tax would hurt the Texas internet economy, job creators, and travelers.”
