Statement On The Announcement Of The OECD/G20 Solution To New Global Tax Rules For The Digital Age

Washington, DC – Today, IA President and CEO K. Dane Snowden released the following statement on the announcement of the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework’s Two-Pillar Solution to Address the Tax Challenges Arising from the Digitalization of the Economy. “Today’s announcement that 130 countries agreed to a global tax solution is an important step towards modernizing taxation in the digital age and against individual countries targeting digital companies. As part of the final deal, it is critical that any implementation plan ensures that countries do away with their discriminatory go-it-alone digital services taxes. IA appreciates the hard work of the Biden Administration and looks forward to reviewing the final deal and the detailed implementation plan.”
