Statement On The Consumer Online Privacy Rights Act

Washington, DC – IA Senior Vice President, Global Government Affairs Michael Bloom issued the following statement on the Consumer Online Privacy Rights Act (COPRA):

“Internet companies continue to advocate for comprehensive, federal privacy legislation that provides people with meaningful control and the ability to access, correct, delete, and download data—regardless of where they live or the type of company they’re interacting with. We are reviewing the Consumer Online Privacy Rights Act and appreciate Senator Cantwell’s leadership on this important issue. We hope to continue discussions that will lead us closer to a bipartisan solution that will ensure all Americans benefit from strong privacy protections on and offline.”
