Washington, DC – IA Director, Trade Policy Jordan Haas issued the following statement on the importance of ensuring long-term stability of cross-border data flows:  

“Cross-border data flows are essential to facilitating transatlantic commerce, and Standard Contractual Clauses are necessary to maintain these data flows that provide businesses of all sizes legal certainty as they engage in digital trade between the U.S. and EU. The digital industry strongly encourages a clear transition period before any major changes to allow time for the EU and the U.S. to get back to the negotiating table.”
