Statement On The Launch Of The New York Coalition For Independent Work

Washington, DC – Internet Association Director, State Government Affairs, Northeast Region John Olsen issued the following statement on the launch of the New York Coalition for Independent Work:

“The sharing economy brings unprecedented benefits to independent workers, and now more than ever, it is critical that we offer greater benefits to on-demand workers while protecting the flexibility provided by internet-enabled economic opportunities. Internet Association is pleased to join efforts with the New York Coalition for Independent Work to advocate for a legislative framework that continues to provide New Yorkers a high level of autonomy, flexibility, and the right to choose when, how, and where they earn an income.”
