Statement On The Reintroduction Of The Startup Act

Washington, DC – Internet Association Director of Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Counsel Sean Perryman released the following statement on the reintroduction of the Startup Act:

“The internet industry commends the bipartisan effort of Sens. Moran, Warner, Blunt, and Klobuchar for reintroducing the Startup Act, which addresses the growing need for qualified, high-skilled professionals and improves on some of the issues with our current immigration system. The Startup Act eliminates per country caps, which create backlogs in our visa system. This legislation invests in our country’s competitiveness and encourages innovation by allowing the most talented people in the world to work in the U.S., ultimately helping our economy grow.”
