Statement On The Signing Of The U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA)

Washington, DC – Internet Association Director, Trade Policy Jordan Haas issued the following statement on the signing of of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) by President Donald J. Trump, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau:

“The signing of this agreement is another important step in creating a digital trade deal that benefits the internet, America’s fastest-growing sector, and small businesses in every state and every community. The USMCA will represent a victory for the U.S. digital economy. It’s also important that Congress and USTR work to alleviate potential issues with the Customs and Trade Facilitation Chapter dealing with low value shipments when they begin the implementation phase of the agreement.”
