Fox 5 DC Investigates: Patent Trolls
Michael Beckerman, president and CEO of The Internet Association, along with Congressman Bob Goodlatte, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee discuss the ongoing problem of patent trolls with Fox 5 DC. They look specifically at the case of Todd Moore, an application software developer, and his experience with a patent assertion entity.
“Patents were very broad and patent trolls are able to abuse that and go after tech companies for sure. But they are even going after nonprofits, hospitals, hotels, restaurants.“ Beckerman explains.
